The Hobie Mirage Tandem Island, a 18' 6" Trimaran "Sail/yak" that incorporates the patented Hobie MirageDrive into a unique sailing machine unlike any other sailing craft on the water.

The very popular and versatile solo Adventure Island has been extended so you can now have doubel the fun with your friends, family etc.

Featuring two of the unique and very powerful mirage drives pushing you along at great speed for use whe not sailing or helping you through turns the Mirage system has to be seen and used to be beleived.

The large boomless sail will allow you to experience the thrill of sailing in safety due to the 2 outriggers that provide incredible stability 

The Adventure Tandem island is quick as well as being easy to maneuver with plenty of stowage so you can cover long distances with ease, speed and all of your supplies on board. Can be assembled in approximatley 20 minutes.

  • A boomless, roller-furling sail rig similar to the rig on the Hobie Bravo with plenty of sail area for excellent performance, completely manageable from the cockpit with the pull of a line.
  • Two retractable amas that fold up against the side of the boat for easy docking, maneuverability, and transport.
  • The cockpit is a stable platform, expanded to a tandem, from the Hobie Mirage Adventure Kayak, offering full versatility as a pedaling kayak when conditions are not convenient for sailing.
  • The Hobie Mirage Drive allows the boat to be pedaled while under sail, or simply pedaled with the sail furled for versatility not found in any other sailboat.
  • The Tandem Island is loaded with additional standard features such as a centerboard; oversized "Twist and Stow" rudder; Mast and Sail Cover; and an Ama/Daggerboard Bag.
  • The Tandem Island is offered in two color packages: Golden Papaya and Red Hibiscus. Both options include beautifully color-coordinated sails.
